For activate the SNMP trap on the target devices you must enable the SNMP Trap service and create community for example community : public, access right : read only (RO) or Read and Write (RW) and setting to destination IP address SNMP Trap server. The finally on the SNMP Trap server you can enable for receive the SNMP trap package. If you have the right setting on your SNMP trap server soon you can receive log, error or other notification from the target devices. Attention this system only can be implement if your network devices support with SNMP trap, and if it doesn’t you can still you SNMP standard and communicate with port 161 on your network system.
