First take USB cable connection USB to your laptop and extend cable Serial to RJ 45 to the router, do not forget to install the driver of you USB to Serial connection and connect the serial male and female between USB to Serial and Serial to RJ 45, next just plug the RJ 45 to console on router Cisco 2800 series.

After you finish for connect the physical connection and next continue for configure the router setup from console using Hyper Terminal, connected the router with the correct COM port, you can see on device manager what port that you use for USB to Serial connection. Power on the router and connect with Hyper Terminal and give the IP address on your router and next save the configuration.
